As an artist, I like to work in series that allow me to explore an idea from different perspectives.
| My current series, Pilgrimage, reaches back into my years of international work with impoverished, largely rural, communities. These paintings pay homage to specific communities in non-Western cultures. |
| The Transitions series emerged when I was purchasing a home, changing my work, and entering a graduate program at the University of Oregon. This series examined the conflicting feelings generated by these shifts. |
| In the Stone Age series, I was interested in the stories hidden within rocks.
Two articles in National Geographic magazine and a trip to Oregon’s high desert precipitated the series. |
| The Color of Joy is an ongoing spontaneous series that is driven by the enjoyment I find in playing with color, shapes, patterns and dream images from the unconscious. |
